Our Team

Gerry Foundation

Established by Alan Gerry in 1996, The Gerry Foundation is dedicated to preserving and enhancing the quality of life of Sullivan County and the surrounding area through economic and community development and the support of education, culture, music and the arts.

The Bethel Woods Center for the Arts

The Bethel Woods Center for the Arts is located at the site of the original 1969 Woodstock Festival in Bethel, New York., Bethel Woods is a cultural center that inspires creative expression and civic engagement to enrich the human spirit. Preserving the Woodstock Festival field and approximately 1,500 surrounding acres, the multi-venue performing arts includes under cover a 4,800 seat summer pavilion with space on an adjacent lawn for an additional 11,000 patrons. The campus includes restrooms and concessions buildings, two covered open-air Adirondack-type buildings, an open-air 1,000 seat amphitheater, and a 40,000 square foot building housing The Museum at Bethel Woods and an Events Gallery for community programming, concerts and private events such as conferences, weddings, etc.

Opened in June 2008 The Museum at Bethel Woods is an immersive and captivating multi-media experience that combines film and interactive displays, text panels and artifacts to tell the story of the Sixties and Woodstock. It explores the unique experience of the Woodstock festival, its significance as a culminating event of a decade of radical cultural transformation, and the legacy of the Sixties and Woodstock today.

The Beaverkill Foundation

The Beaverkill Foundation works to improve the quality of life in Sullivan County, including economic, social and beautification issues.

Sullivan County Center for Workforce Development (CWD)

Center for Workforce Development CWD helps Sullivan Renaissance administer our youth development and internship program. The mission of the Center for Workforce Development (CWD) is to build a high-quality local workforce as a critical part of a stable economy.

Sullivan County Division of Planning and Environmental Management

Division of Planning & Environmental Management
  • Partners on a number of projects including: identifying and securing municipal and business grant opportunities; development of the county open space plan; and support of agriculture.
  • The Division of Planning facilitates the design and implementation of effective projects and programs designed to improve the economy, environment and physical infrastructure of the county.

Sullivan County Division of Public Works

Division of Public Works and Solid Waste
  • Partners with Sullivan Renaissance on improvements to the Sullivan County International Airport
  • Staff in the division’s 15 departments design, maintain and repair roads and bridges, plow snow, operate and maintain county buildings and parks, as well as fuel, maintain and repair the county’s vehicle fleet. The division also operates solid waste transfer stations, maintains and operates the Sullivan County International Airport and provides Weights and Measures services.

Economic Development Corporation of Sullivan County

  • Partners with Sullivan Renaissance to utilize expertise of Dr. Peter Tarlow, a tourism and economic development specialist
  • The EDC brings together all agencies charged with economic development and job creation in the county, as well as a full spectrum of services – from business attraction, to promotion and marketing of the area's existing businesses, to increasing tourism dollars and creating a workforce ready to fill jobs. The EDC board consists of the Sullivan County Chamber of Commerce, the Industrial Development Agency, the Partnership for Economic Development, the Visitors Association, the Workforce Development Board and the Sullivan County Planning Division. At-large members have been selected from the health care, tourism, agricultural and educational business sectors.

Community Foundation of Orange and Sullivan (CFOS)

Community Foundation of Orange and Sullivan (CFOS)
  • Partners to offer a limited number of scholarships to the college of one’s choice for volunteers who make a significant contribution to a Renaissance project.
  • CFOS is a public charity that facilitates and manages more than 90 permanent endowment funds that combine maximum tax savings with maximum flexibility and the opportunity to make a difference at home.

Sullivan County Community College Foundation

Sullivan County Community College Foundation
  • Partners to offer SUNY Sullivan scholarships to part and full-time students for Renaissance volunteers who make a significant contribution to a Renaissance project.
  • SCCC Foundation works to secure private funds to supplement the college’s traditional revenue sources, providing scholarship assistance, funding for equipment and enrichment programs and the ability to enhance and strengthen selected academic areas and programs.

Sullivan County Chamber of Commerce and Industry

Sullivan County Chamber of Commerce and Industry
  • Partners on Merchant Discount program and support for the Monticello Business Association
  • The Chamber of Commerce brings together the business and professional interests of the county, permitting them to accomplish collectively what none could do individually.

Cornell Cooperative Extension of Sullivan County

Cornell Cooperative Extension (CCE) of Sullivan County
  • Partners to provide the Master Gardeners Program, and establish a Catskill Edible Garden Project in local school
  • Cornell Cooperative Extension is a statewide educational organization that helps New York citizens put research-based knowledge to work. In Sullivan County CCE offers programs in agriculture, natural resources, horticulture, family and consumer sciences, financial education, nutrition, caregiving, parenting and 4-H youth development.

  • SullivanArc offers individuals with developmental disabilities and their families greater opportunities to live meaningful, contributing lives in their communities, at work and at play.
