Special Awards

In addition to our core beautification program, Sullivan Renaissance recognizes community efforts through special awards. Projects that interpret local history, or incorporate an historic issue and/or element are eligible for the Historic Preservation Award. The Youth Involvement Award is for projects that exhibit outstanding youth involvement in their project. A special Showing of Flowers Award will be given to one group with the best overall flowers. Special Awards

Showing of Flowers Award

A special $5000 Showing of Flowers Award will be bestowed on the Renaissance group with the best overall flowers. Four additional $1,000 “Judges Choice” awards will also be given out at the awards ceremony. The team of judges will make their determination after visiting the project sites.

Stewardship Award - Environmental

Grants of $1000 may be awarded to Renaissance communities that incorporate plants and materials which establish wildlife habitat within the landscaping of their projects.

Stewardship Award - Historic

Grants up to $1000 may be awarded to Renaissance communities that interpret local history, or incorporate a historic issue and/or element in their project.  The judges will make their determination after visiting the project sites.

Stewardship Award - Youth Engagement

Grants of $1000 may be awarded to Renaissance communities that exhibit outstanding efforts to involve youth in their project.
