STILL TIME TO APPLY FOR A SULLIVAN RENAISSANCE GRANT

Application Assistance Available in Every Community

March 10, 2008

[FERNDALE] – Communities interested in participating in the 2008 Sullivan Renaissance Community Beautification Grant Program still have time to plan projects and complete their paperwork.

Applications are at http://www.sullivanrenaissance.org/participate/applications/.  They may be completed electronically or mailed to: Sullivan Renaissance, c/o The Gerry Foundation, PO Box 311, Liberty, NY 12754.

The deadline for submission of community beautification and environmental grants is Monday, March 17.  Municipal, seasonal and school grants have different deadlines.

Representatives of Sullivan Renaissance will visit a community to explain the programs and assist with the application process if requested.

Community beautification grants will be awarded during the Spring Forum on March 27 at 7:00 p.m. at the CVI Building in Ferndale.  Projects must be completed in August.  The 2008 Sullivan Renaissance program was unveiled at the Winter Conference and Expo in February.

Sullivan Renaissance is a beautification and community development program principally funded by the Gerry Foundation.  Additional funding has been secured by NYS Senator John J. Bonacic and Assemblywoman Aileen M. Gunther.
