COUNTY BICENTENNIAL COMMITTEE ANNOUNCES INFORMATION MEETING

Sullivan Renaissance is a member of the Sullivan County Bicentennial Committee

MONTICELLO – The Sullivan County Bicentennial Committee announced it will hold an informational meeting on Tuesday, June 17, 2008 at 5:30 p.m. in the Hearing Room of the CountyLegislature at the GovernmentCenter in Monticello, NY, for those interested in more information about next year’s Sullivan County Bicentennial Celebration.

 

The Bicentennial Committee is currently seeking volunteers who would like to participate in the planning of Bicentennial events, as well as groups that are celebrating an anniversary next year and would like to join in the celebration!

 

Events currently being considered for the celebration include concerts and theatrical productions, parades, a county-wide picnic, historical and architectural bus tours, a collectible book of County history, and even a race!

 

The Bicentennial Committee is also looking for individuals who may have old photos, post cards and information about their communities, to be used for Bicentennial publications and later returned to their owner.
