SIGN UP ON-LINE FOR WINTER CONFERENCE

Volunteers Begin 10th Year of Beautifying Sullivan County

[FERNDALE] – Individuals wishing to attend the Sullivan Renaissance Winter Conference and Expo on Saturday, February 20 can now register and sign up for workshops directly on-line.  Go to www.sullivanrenaissance.org and click on the 10th Anniversary Rooster at the top of the page. 

This is the tenth year that volunteers have been planting flowers and cleaning up their communities around Sullivan County.  The conference will outline the new 2010 Sullivan Renaissance grant program and make applications available.  It will also feature exhibits and workshops on the significance of flowers in beautifying a community, community gardens, rain barrels, youth leadership and economic development. 

The keynote address and two of the workshops will be led by C.L. Fornari, a gardening expert, author and professional speaker who believes that the lessons learned in the garden are relevant to work, relationships, spirituality and personal growth.  All w orkshop space is limited to the first registrants. 

The conference is located at CVI Building in Ferndale.  It begins at 8:00 a.m. with breakfast and registration.  The program starts at 9:00 a.m. and runs to 1:00 p.m.  All are welcome.  There is no registration fee for this conference.

Sullivan Renaissance is a beautification and community development program principally funded by the Gerry Foundation.  Additional funding has been secured by NYS Senator John J. Bonacic and Assemblywoman Aileen M. Gunther.
