LOOKING FOR FLOWER GARDENS

SullivanArc and Sullivan Renaissance Host 2nd Annual Garden Tour

February 5, 2010

[SULLIVAN COUNTY] – Beautiful flower gardens in Sullivan County will be the object of a benefit “Sullivan County Garden Tour” on July 10, 2010.  Sponsored by SullivanArc and Sullivan Renaissance, the tour will feature interesting and special flower gardens throughout the county.

The two organizations are looking for home owners willing to exhibit their private gardens to a limited number of individuals as a benefit for the SullivanArc Horticulture Program.  Approximately eight gardens will be selected for viewing.  Volunteers will be provided to assist at each garden.

The garden tour is aimed at being a fun, inspirational and educational event for garden admirers and enthusiasts, as well as a means to sooth the spirit.

Individuals interested in having their gardens considered should contact Kathleen Capozzoli at Sullivan Renaissance at 845-295-2452 or kcapozzoli@sullivanrenaissance.org

Key Bank is one of the garden tour sponsors.  SullivanArc is a not-for-profit agency dedicated to providing support and services to over 800 individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities and to their families.  Sullivan Renaissance is a beautification and community development program principally funded by the Gerry Foundation.
