SullivanArc and Sullivan Renaissance Host 2nd Annual Garden Tour

May 13, 2010

[SULLIVAN COUNTY] – Beautiful private flower gardens of Sullivan County will be on display during the second annual Sullivan County Garden Tour on Saturday, July 10, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  Tickets are now on sale.

The tour is co-sponsored by SullivanArc and Sullivan Renaissance, as a benefit for SullivanArc’s horticulture program.

Each garden is unique – whether it is a wild flower garden, shade garden, traditional garden or a one-of-a-kind environment.  The tour will feature approximately eight gardens located throughout western Sullivan County.

Tickets can be purchased at the following locations:

·         Catskill Harvest Market, Liberty

·         The Cutting Garden, Youngsville

·         Delaware Farm & Garden, Callicoon

·         Everlasting Spring, White Sulphur Springs

·         Stephenson’s, Liberty

·         Vita’s Farm Market, Jeffersonville

Tickets can also be purchased by calling SullivanArc at 845-796-1350 ext. 1003.

The tour is self-guided with location maps available only on the day of the event at the above locations.  There will be a private reception for ticket holders and garden owners following the tour.

SullivanArc is a not-for-profit agency dedicated to providing support and services to over 800 individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities and to their families.  The proceeds from the tour will allow people with developmental disabilities to build, plant and harvest their own gardens.  Sullivan Renaissance is a beautification and community development program principally funded by the Gerry Foundation.
