[MONTICELLO] – The Monticello Beautification Group and Sullivan Renaissance are seeking volunteers to donate an hour or two of their time on Wednesday, June 29 to help beautify the village.
Volunteers will meet in front of the Monticello Village Hall at 2 Pleasant Street at 10:00 a.m. and work until 12:00 noon. They should bring work gloves and hand tools if they have them. The group will be planting the containers in front of village hall, edging and mulching the flower beds, and then making their way up Broadway for a few additional planting projects as time permits.
Village residents and volunteers have already been working in DeHoyos Park since May. They have re-mulched planting beds, added landscaping, raked out and edged planting beds, removed dead plant material, trimmed bushes and trees, and also picked up litter throughout the park.
