ROSCOE – The Fourth Annual SullivanArc Garden Tour will feature a guided bus tour of eight private gardens in and around the Hamlet of Roscoe on Saturday, June 23. The tour leaves from the Tennanah Lake Golf and Tennis Club, where it returns at day’s end for a complimentary wine and cheese reception.
The garden tour is hosted by SullivanArc, Sullivan Renaissance and Roscoe-Rockland Chamber of Commerce to benefit the SullivanArc Horticultural Program. Everyone is invited to join including non-gardeners and gardeners at all levels.
The gardens will be open for visits between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 23. Cost is $35 per person for the bus tour, which includes travel on a coach bus provided by Rolling V, guide, prize drawings and snacks. In addition to the regular tour, bus riders have also been invited to visit a “secret garden.”
Self-guided tour tickets and maps are also available for those who want to drive their own vehicles for $25 per person. A reception for all ticket holders and garden owners follows the tour at 4:00 p.m.
This is a perfect gift for Mother’s Day, May 13 or Father’s Day, June 17. Tickets may be purchased online from SullivanArc at http://www.sullivanarc.org – click on “Buy Tickets." Tickets are also available at select garden centers and nurseries in Sullivan County. For information about how to advertise in the map journal, call 845-796-1350 ext. 1050.
The tour will stop for lunch in Roscoe, which was voted “Ultimate Fishing Town USA” last year. Roscoe has long been known as an “Ultimate Flower Town” by Sullivan Renaissance for its hanging baskets and public displays of flowers.
SullivanArc is a not-for-profit agency dedicated to providing support and services to over 850 individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities and to their families. Sullivan Renaissance is a beautification and community development program principally funded by the Gerry Foundation. The Roscoe-Rockland Chamber of Commerce actively promotes businesses, attractions and events in Roscoe and Sullivan County.
