Annual Conference, Local Market & Expo on Saturday, March 9

[FERNDALE] – Spring makes a preview in Ferndale this weekend as the CVI Center is transformed into a farmer’s market and filled with flowers and garden exhibitors.  All of this and much more will be part of the Sullivan Renaissance Annual Conference, Local Market and Expo on Saturday, March 9 in Ferndale.  There is no charge to attend any of the day’s activities.

Conference registration begins at 8:00 a.m. and the event continues until 3:00 p.m.  A light breakfast and lunch will be provided, and door prizes will be awarded at the conference conclusion. 

The local market offers the opportunity to purchase local, natural and organic goods from the following farms and artisans: Aunt Nenee’s; Brandenburg Pastry Bakery; Catskill Provisions; Catskill Distillery Company/Dancing Cat Saloon; Crimson Candle; Eminence Road Farm Winery; Heirloom Botanicals; Hilly Acres Farm; Java Love Coffee Roasting Co.; Justus Ashalter Maple Syrup; Natural Contents; Northern Farmhouse Pasta; and Root N Roost Farm.

The expo will feature exhibits by many of Sullivan County’s garden centers and nurseries, along with other vendors with products and services of interest to volunteers, including: Bashakill Area Association; Butterfly Botanicals; Catskill Mountain Herbs; Catskill Mountainkeeper; CCE Master Gardeners; Delaware Valley Farm & Garden; Kean Artworks/Graphic Detail; Liberty Home Garden & Pet; Manza Family Farm; Monticello Farm Home & Garden; SullivanArc; The Cutting Garden;; Tri County Nursery Association; and Tri Valley Agriculture/Future Farmers of America.

The conference features a keynote address by Dr. Peter Tarlow, presentation of Sullivan First Achievement Awards, “What’s New for 2013 in Sullivan Renaissance” and multiple workshops.  The conference program will also be available through a live webcast beginning at 9:00 a.m. by going to
