DIGITAL STORYTELLING

Sullivan Renaissance Seminar on Social Media & Digital Photography

November 21, 2013

[LIBERTY] – Using social media and digital photography is a powerful way to tell a story and publicize an event.  Billions of people now use Facebook, Twitter and other electronic communication platforms to connect with their audiences.

Sullivan Renaissance will discuss how to use this new method of communication at a free seminar entitled “Digital Storytelling” on Wednesday, December 4 at 7:00 p.m. in the CVI Center, 165 Sullivan Avenue, Ferndale.

The seminar will help beginners understand how to enhance their electronic skills and garner support for a project.  Sullivan Renaissance Volunteer Coordinator Cara Kowalski will discuss best practices for social media.  Sullivan Renaissance Photographer Jason Dole will share tips for taking compelling digital photographs.

“The digital world can seem a little overwhelming.  But by keeping a few good tips in mind, anyone can be a good photographer and effectively use social media,” said Kowalski, “This seminar will walk the uninitiated through the process.”

Sullivan Renaissance seminars are open to the public.  Space is limited, pre-registration is requested. Refreshments will be provided.

For more information or to register, email info@sullivanrenaissance.org, call 845-295-2445 or send a message to the Sullivan Renaissance Facebook page.
