[FERNDALE] – Organizations and individuals interested in being part of the 2014 Sullivan Renaissance Community Beautification Grant Program still have time to plan projects and submit an application for funding. Sullivan Renaissance staff will visit any community to explain the programs and assist with the application process.
Applications are available at http://www.sullivanrenaissance.org/grants/applications/. They may be completed electronically or mailed to: Sullivan Renaissance, c/o The Gerry Foundation, PO Box 311, Liberty, NY 12754.
The deadline for submission of community beautification grants is Wednesday, March 19. As part of the application, projects are required to include a garden design and plant list. However, given the snow pack that is still on the ground, this portion may be submitted at a later date.
Community beautification grants will be awarded during the Spring Forum on April 24 at 7:00 p.m. in the CVI Building in Ferndale. Projects must be completed by August 5.
Environmental Initiative Grants, Mini Grants, Seasonal Demonstration Grants, Community Mitzvah Award, and other grant programs have different deadlines.
A video of the keynote address, achievement awards, and two featured speakers from the Sullivan Renaissance Annual Conference, Local Market and Expo on March 8 will be posted this week on http://www.youtube.com/user/SullivanRenaissance.
Sullivan Renaissance is a beautification and community development program principally funded by the Gerry Foundation.
