Learn How to Get a Beautification Grant in 2015

January 5, 2015

[LIBERTY] – Communities, organizations and volunteers interested in learning about the 2015 Sullivan Renaissance grant program are invited to an “Introduction to Sullivan Renaissance” seminar on Wednesday, January 7 beginning at 7:00 p.m. at the CVI Center in Liberty.

This seminar will be helpful to groups and individuals participating for the first time, as well as for those returning to do a new project.  Information about the Sullivan Renaissance En Español program and bilingual translation will be offered.

The evening will focus on community beautification and maintenance grants, but also provide an overview of other grant programs, including: business facades, technical assistance, community development, environmental initiatives, school & youth initiatives

This seminar will review basic requirements of Sullivan Renaissance, including how to apply for a grant, program deadlines, technical assistance, youth involvement and other information.  Staff will meet directly with potential applicants to discuss project ideas and review paperwork.

Refreshments will be served.

Community beautification and maintenance applications for 2015 are available now from the Sullivan Renaissance web site in a portable document format (PDF) with fillable form fields.  Applications can be completed electronically and e-mailed to Sullivan Renaissance (along with required documentation) or printed and mailed by the appropriate deadlines.

Beautification and maintenance grant applications are being accepted now and must be received by Wednesday, March 18, 2015.  Some Sullivan Renaissance grant programs have different deadlines, including: interns, environmental and seasonal grants; and scholarships.

If requested, Sullivan Renaissance representatives will visit communities at their convenience to explain the program, review the garden design plans and assist with the application process.

To register for the seminar or for more information, visit www.sullivanrenaissance.org or call 845-295-2445.

Sullivan Renaissance is a beautification and community development program principally funded by the Gerry Foundation.
