2015 SullivanArc GARDEN TOUR

Tour Master Gardener Volunteer Private Gardens on June 20

February 26, 2015

SULLIVAN COUNTY – The Seventh Annual SullivanArc Garden Tour will feature an exclusive look at the private gardens of Master Gardener Volunteers from Cornell Cooperative Extension of Sullivan County on Saturday, June 20.

The tour is hosted by SullivanArc and Sullivan Renaissance with support from Cornell Cooperative Extension (CCE) Sullivan County – to benefit SullivanArc.

Approximately seven beautiful gardens will be open for visits on Saturday, June 20.  Cost is $40 per person for the guided bus tour, which includes travel on a Rolling V coach bus, tip, guide, door prizes and snacks.  Self-guided tour tickets and maps will also be available for those who want to drive their own vehicles for $25 per person.  Following the tour is a complimentary wine and cheese reception for all ticket holders and garden owners.

Tickets go on sale March 2 online from SullivanArc at http://www.sullivanarc.org – click on “Buy Tickets" or by calling SullivanArc at 845-796-1350 ext. 1050.  For information about how to advertise in the map journal, call the same number.

Last year’s tour featured gardens in and around the Hamlet of Narrowsburg and was cosponsored by the Narrowsburg Chamber of Commerce, with lunch at the Delaware Valley Arts Alliance.  The 2013 tour presented gardens in and around the Village of Bloomingburg and was cosponsored by the Wurtsboro Board of Trade.  Previous tours have featured gardens around the Hamlet of Roscoe, along the Route 17 corridor and in western Sullivan County.

SullivanArc is a not-for-profit agency dedicated to providing support and services to over 1100 people with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities and to their families.  Sullivan Renaissance is a beautification and community development program principally funded by the Gerry Foundation.  Sullivan County Master Gardeners are a corps of volunteers trained by Cornell Cooperative Extension in the science and art of gardening.
