[BETHEL] – This year’s Sullivan Renaissance Annual Conference will bring together a panel of six key organizations to discuss their plans on Saturday, March 7 at Bethel Woods Center for the Arts in Bethel.
Admission is free and all are invited to hear about the initiatives happening now in Sullivan County. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m., but space is limited. The facility is ADA compliant and there will be simultaneous translation in Spanish. Door prizes will be awarded at the conference conclusion.
The keynote panel and “Renaissance Awards” will also be available through a live webcast beginning at 9:15 a.m. by going to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T2xfMd8jIM8.
WJFF Radio Catskill will carry live coverage of the keynote panel starting at 10:00 a.m. WJFF will also broadcast an hour of the Spanish-language translation of the keynote panel at 9:00 p.m., following “Spanglish con Ella.”
The afternoon conference session includes a presentation about “Community Landscape Art & Practice” by Kirk Ryan Brown. The address will be filmed and posted in about a week.
The afternoon also includes the launch of the 2015 Sullivan Renaissance grant program. Individuals will have an opportunity to discuss projects and volunteer opportunities with staff in both English and Spanish. Market items from The Center for Discovery’s Thanksgiving Farm and Wild Turkey Bakery will be available for purchase throughout the day.
