Monticello Interfaith Council Hosts Outreach Exchange

MONTICELLO – The Monticello Interfaith Council invites the public to an Outreach Exchange Social Event on Tuesday, June 9 at 5:30 p.m. at the Monticello Firehouse, 23 Richardson Avenue in Monticello.

This is an opportunity to introduce the Monticello Interfaith Council to new people and to share information about valuable resources in the community. 

Presenters will include:

  • Margaret Langston – Monticello Interfaith Council
  • Glenn Pontier – Sullivan Renaissance
  • Mary Paige Lang-Clouse – Ethelbert Crawford Library
  • Jeff Siegel – Monticello Bagel Fest
  • Laura Quigley – Sullivan County Center for Workforce Development
  • Debra Allen – Sullivan County Office for the Aging

Refreshments will be provided.

To set up a table with local agency information or donate a food item for the gathering, email the council at MonticelloInterfaith@gmail.com or send a message on the council’s Facebook page.

The council brings together representatives of faith communities, community organizations and interested individuals for the purpose of dialogue, information sharing, celebration and social transformation.  Regular meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month, hosted by one of the faith communities.

Regular members of the council include: Bethlehem Temple Church, Church of Jesus Christ Latter-day Saints, Exodus Christian Motorcycle Club, Liberty Bahai Center, Monticello United Methodist Church, Shambhala International, St. John’s Episcopal Church, and Temple Sholom.

Sullivan Renaissance, which supports the Monticello Interfaith Council, is a beautification and community development program principally funded by the Gerry Foundation.
