STILL TIME TO APPLY FOR A SULLIVAN RENAISSANCE GRANT
Application Assistance Available in Every Community
March 9, 2007
[FERNDALE] – Communities interested in participating in the 2007 Sullivan Renaissance Grant Program still have time to plan projects and complete their paperwork. Applications are due on Monday, March 19. Representatives of Sullivan Renaissance will visit a community to explain the program and assist with the application process if requested.
Grants will be awarded on March 29 at 7:00 p.m. at the CVI Building in Ferndale. Projects must be completed in August. The 2007 Sullivan Renaissance program was unveiled during the “Soul to Solar” Conference and Expo in February at Bethel Woods Center for the Arts in Bethel.
Sullivan Renaissance is a beautification and community development program principally funded by the Beaverkill Foundation and the Gerry Foundation. Additional funding has been secured by NYS Senator John J. Bonacic and Assemblywoman Aileen M. Gunther.
Since 2001, Sullivan Renaissance has funded over 200 community projects in all fifteen towns and six villages in Sullivan County. In addition to community grants, programs include: municipal cleanup grants, seasonal matching grants, mini-grants, school grants, scholarships, internships, showcase awards, seminars, and a public awareness campaign.
